JRICKSS Financial Services LLC ("JRICKSS," "we," "us," "our") is a New Jersey limited liability company providing tax preparation, ITIN application, IRS representation, real estate, business formation, and immigration support services. To deliver our services we collect information you choose to give us, including:
We use your information to: (a) prepare and file the tax returns or applications you engage us to prepare; (b) communicate with you about your engagement; (c) comply with IRS, state, and federal requirements (including IRC §7216, 26 CFR §301.7216-3, and Treasury Circular 230); (d) respond to legal process; and (e) operate and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information.
Federal law (Internal Revenue Code §7216) prohibits us from using or disclosing your tax return information for any purpose other than preparing your return without your separate written consent. We share your information only with: (a) the IRS, state tax authorities, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services when filing on your behalf; (b) our software vendors operating under contract (Drake Tax, TaxWise, Stripe, Google Workspace, Cloudflare); (c) our internal team members and contracted professionals (CPAs, attorneys, paralegals) bound by confidentiality; and (d) law enforcement if required by valid legal process.
As a financial institution under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act we maintain a written Information Security Program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage on Google Workspace, MFA on all staff accounts, role-based access, annual risk assessments, and incident response procedures. We are not aware of any unauthorized disclosure of customer information at the time of publication.
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion (subject to legal retention rules - tax records must be retained at least three years per IRS, longer for some items), object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs or the FTC. We retain tax records for the periods required by IRS Publication 583 and applicable state law (generally 3 to 7 years; indefinitely for fraudulent-return matters and certain real estate basis records). Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.
Our services are intended for adults aged 18+ or for parents filing on behalf of dependents. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 directly.
Personal data is processed in the United States. If you submit data from outside the U.S. (for example for an ITIN application), you consent to that transfer.
We will post any material change to this policy on this page and update the effective date at the top. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
